Host a Food Drive

Host a Food Drive: Empower Your Community with Harvest House

Unite to Fight Hunger

Hosting a food drive is a powerful way for businesses, churches, schools, and civic organizations to give back to the community. At Harvest House, we rely on the generosity of groups like yours to help us provide essential food supplies to families in need. By organizing a food drive, you can make a significant impact and inspire others to join the fight against hunger.

How to Get Started

Plan Your Food Drive

Begin by discussing the goals, timeline, and logistics of your food drive with your group. Determine the best time to hold the drive, set a collection goal, and decide on a location for collecting donations.

Email Us

Please contact our volunteer coordinator at harvest@yourharvesthouse.org and provide details about your organization, the dates of your drive, and any specific requirements or assistance you may need from us.  We will reach out to you to provide more information and details.

Gather Supplies and Promote Your Drive

Once we have a conversation, we will provide you with materials and resources to help promote your food drive. This may include posters, flyers, social media graphics, and information on the most needed food items. Spread the word through your networks, and encourage everyone to participate.

Collect Donations

During your food drive, collect non-perishable food items from participants. Make it fun and engaging by hosting events, challenges, or competitions to encourage more donations. Keep track of your progress toward your collection goal.

Deliver the Donations to Harvest House

After your food drive is complete, deliver the collected food items to Harvest House. Our team will be ready to receive your donations and provide you with a receipt for your contributions.

Celebrate Your Success

Take time to celebrate the success of your food drive and the difference you’ve made. Share your accomplishments with your community, thank participants, and reflect on the impact of your efforts.
